Santa Eulalia

Santa Eulalia is one of Ibizas largest resorts, and is an ideal destination for families and couples who want to enjoy a quiet, relaxing holiday without all the parties

Santa Eulalia is most famous for its Punta Arabí Hippy Market held each Wednesday in Es Caná (Es canar hippy market). This is the largest hippy market on the island and well known for its authentic, handcrafted exotic jewelries and textiles, bringing influences for all over the world.

Santa Eulalia also offers spacious sands with aqua blue waters, making it a superb spot for those holidaying with little ones. Behind it, there’s a long stretch of promenade, which is ideal for wandering along and then watching one of Ibiza’s spectacular sunsets, while enjoying a relaxing drink.

If you enjoy eating good food in relaxed surroundings, you’ll find that this destination boasts some of the best restaurants in Ibiza! With family attractions, excellent shopping, the glorious beaches and markets, Santa Eulalia holidays are the fastest way to slow down!

Culture of Santa Eulalia:

With exception of Eivissa all villages of the island have names of saints, as well Santa Eulalia del Río.

A little bit of history about how Santa Eulalia got its name! Starting at the end of the 3rd century, when a young girl, to whom exceptional faculties were attributed, lived in the Catalan town of Sarrià.

According to the legend, Eulalia not only helped the needed ones, she had also the gift to finish with a period of drought and to fill with her tears all wells of the province, since the accumulation of tears became such a large river, as it had not been seen in the province for many years.

Where to eat:

Ca Na Ribes

Dine in the cool romantic garden court-yard, complete with fountain. Ca Na Ribes is beautifully situated in a cool, courtyard garden in Santa Eularia. They serve traditional Ibicencan recipes including fresh fish and succulent steaks.

If you prefer something a little more sophisticated, then The Amante beach club and restaurant is perched on a cliff overlooking the stunning Sol D’en Serra bay, one of the most beautiful coves on the east coast of Ibiza. Surrounded by stunning rock formations and lush greenery, it provides an idyllic backdrop for long daytime lunches and fine dining in the evening light breeze, overlooking the moonlit sea.
